HiFi streamer and home theater preamplifier with Dolby Atmos
Expand your Canton Smart speakers or all active speakers with the flexible Smart Connect 5.1 from Canton. The streamer with Dolby Atmos® technology connects up to 8 wireless speakers from the Canton Smart series (three pairs of speakers, one center and one subwoofer) with up to 6 wired active speakers (two pairs of speakers, one center and one subwoofer) or power amplifiers. The Smart Connect 5.1 also serves as a DAC for any standard stereo system. Virtual Dolby Atmos® and 3D home theater sound can even be generated with an analog tube amplifier. The wide range of connection options with 4K-compatible HDMI connections including eARC set new standards as a room-filling music and home cinema system. The Smart Connect can be flexibly adapted to your listening room and your listening habits via the Canton Smart app, remote control or your TV's on-screen display. With the integrated Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect and Chromecast functions, you can stream your favorite music effortlessly and conveniently via smartphone. Whether as a stereo preamplifier, in a home cinema set with the maximum expansion level as a 7.1.4 system or as a DAC of an existing amplifier to your home network - the possibilities with the Smart Connect 5.1 are diverse and unique.
Wireless transmission in High Res
The high-quality Smart Connect 5.1 preamplifier serves as a flexibly configurable interface and connection center for active loudspeakers and power amplifiers as well as for your Canton Smart loudspeakers. The basis for impressive sound experiences is created here by a lossless and high-resolution transmission of up to 24 bit / 96 kHz. This enables a combination of 6 active loudspeakers or power amplifiers with up to 8 Canton Smart loudspeakers. The powerful DSP enables high-end stereo sound and impressive multi-channel sound. With the Smart Connect 5.1, the variations are versatile and unique: stereo or multi-channel, wired or wireless with Canton Smart speakers, the flexible combination of both worlds up to a 7.1.4 setup as well as singleroom and multi-room streaming - everything is possible.
3D Sound-Upgrade For your Amplifier
The Smart Connect 5.1 makes it possible to integrate your existing stereo amplifier into the wifi and enjoy music streaming. As a DAC, it also provides virtual 3D surround sound for your existing music system. The powerful DSP and Virtualizer enable 3D surround sound from all sides - even with only two speakers connected in a stereo setup. In addition, the Smart Connect 5.1 can be connected to your TV via HDMI eARC and combined with other Smart speakers to create a home theater setup. This means you can easily turn your existing stereo amplifier into a home theater amplifier.
Control centre for home cinema sound and picture
The Smart Connect 5.1 brings the razor-sharp picture of your TV to life with room-filling sound - thanks to four HDMI connections including eARC and HDCP2.2. The Smart Connect 5.1 supports Dolby Atmos®, DTS HD and the HDR (High Dynamic Range) video format as multi-channel sound formats. Using the TV's on-screen display and the Canton Smart app, you can conveniently set up the system and adjust it perfectly to your needs and sound preferences. In addition to direct connection to the TV, the Smart Connect 5.1 also acts as a control center for a wide range of playback devices: from CD players, games consoles, Blu-ray players and classic radio receivers to music streaming via smartphone. The freely configurable inputs and outputs offer flexible connection options for your active loudspeakers, power amplifiers or external players.
Easy operation with the Canton Smart App
In addition to manual operation via the Canton Smart app, you can also start and pause playback, adjust the volume or control an entire Canton Smart system by voice. Although no microphones are built into our Smart Connect 5.1, the all-rounder still offers the greatest possible compatibility in terms of voice control. There are two ways to operate the Smart Connect 5.1 by voice: Use the Siri or Google Assistant voice assistants on your smartphone or an external Apple or Google device of your choice. This allows you to play your favorite music either at the touch of a button or by voice in any room you want.
